Objective:
I am an enthusiastic art instructor seeking an opportunity to teach art at the secondary level. I am interested in a position that offers the opportunity to encourage creative thinking and problem solving through the curriculum as well as the opportunity to supervise extracurricular activities such as art clubs and competitions. I believe that students’ lives can be improved by awareness of the culture around them.

Spring 2010 - Student Teaching, CyFair Springs High School, Art I-IV, AP, & Art History
Spring 2010 - Student Teaching, M. Robinson Elementary, Art K-5th grade
Work closely with cooperating teacher/ mentor to create, prepare, and implement meaningful lesson plans. Organize instructional resources to meet the needs of students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs. Collaborate with peers to improve the learning environment.
Additional Work Experience:
June 2007 to present - A&E The Graphics Complex
Large Format Customer Advocate. Coordinate file set-up and print production for key clients creating production schedules and ensuring production goals are met.
January 2005 – June 2007 – ImageSet Digital
Customer Service Representative. Quoted orders, prepared job tickets, and generated invoices for a variety of print jobs. The role required me to create production schedules and to ensure that production goals were meet.
November 1999 to October 2004 - A&E The Graphics Complex
Promoted to several different positions including Print on Demand Coordinator, Production Specialist, Assistant Manager: Signs Department, and Digital Prepress Technician.
2001 to Present - Paint wall murals professionally for private residences and businesses
Projects have ranged from single walls to entire homes and office suites.
Additional Activities:
Helped supervise students at Visual Arts Scholastic Event (VASE) during my recent student teaching.
Exhibited in the Houston Art Crawl festival annually since 2000.
